It’s not bragging if it’s a fact: you are in the best ‘hood in Minneapolis. Walk out the door, and you’re a laughably short walk from award-winning restaurants Young Joni and Hai Hai. There are two coffee shops within a few blocks. Breweries beckon, about a dozen. Look down the street: there’s the Northeast Social and Sheridan Room! Catch live music just a block away at the 331 Club, Mayslacks, or Shaw’s. Or just stay cozy inside your private, super-stylish house. You’ll love NE Mpls!
The space
This is the second floor of a beautiful, 1910 duplex: you have your own private entrance, and can check yourself in at any time with a keypad lock (you’ll get the code when you book). The space is full of lovely old woodwork and character, but also updated with a brand new kitchen, modern furniture, and locally-produced art. Two bedrooms sleep four comfortably, and the large dining room and kitchen beg for dinner parties. A huge private deck looks out over he street, screened by majestic pine trees. In the bathroom, a big claw foot tub for soaking (or a quick shower). This house is dedicated for Airbnb guests only — my goal is for you to have the best Airbnb experience you’ve ever had, and to fall in love with my neighborhood.
Interaction with guests
I’ve been a Superhost for over 3 years running. My goal is for you to have an effortlessly wonderful stay. I’m available by phone, text, or email 24/7. There will be a guidebook waiting for you upon arrival that contains all of my best recommendations for the city (I’ll send it digitally as well).
Peter’s home is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
You’re smack in the heart of what’s known as the Northeast Arts District: for our money, the absolute best and most interesting neighborhood in the city. Artists rule the roost in Northeast: all around there are beautiful old warehouses full of artist studios and maker spaces, most of which open to the public a few times a month. In recent years, NE has exploded with breweries, restaurants, and cocktail rooms: It’s sort of absurd how great this location is. While close to just about everything you could want, the street and neighborhood is also quiet and safe.
All within a 10-min walk from the house, you’ll find:
• Young Joni, a restaurant with too many awards to list
• Hai Hai, another embarrassingly awarded restaurant
• The Northeast Social (you can see it from the house); excellent bar and restaurant
• Matchbox Coffee
• Maeve’s Cafe
• Anchor Fish & Chips
• Popol Vuh & Centro (insanely good wood-fired Mexican)
• The Ritz Theater
• Rogue Buddha Gallery
• Tattersall Distilling — great cocktails
• Dive bars galore: Mayslack’s, Knight Cap, Shaw’s, 331, Grumpy’s, Jimmy’s
Downtown is a 7 minute Uber/Lyft. The Guthrie Theater is nearby. The river is a 10 minute walk. Bike paths and trails are everywhere. We can’t wait for you to fall in love with Northeast.
